• After checking into your next hotel, you’ll have a free afternoon to wander the streets of Puebla. 

• Dinner (included): A taste of the local cuisine at a hand-picked kitchen. Then a short walk to a final sweet note.

• A little free time to wander the streets of Puebla on your own.

• Time for some chef-insights…you’ll head to the local market where a local chef will guide you to try some local delicacies and pick out some fresh ingredients.

• You’re now a special guest at the chef’s home as they show you how to prepare stuffed chiles with local seasonings and teach you about rompope, a local drink made by nuns (yes, you read that right!)

• Lunch (included): Handmade by you, with a special (surprise) gift for you to take home too.

• You’ll probably need a break after all that hard work, so take the rest of the afternoon to do as you choose. 

• Dinner: Yours to decide; now that you’ve got a feel for the real thing, you’re well placed to go exploring if you’re still peckish.

• Time for some desert-vibes – that’s desert, not dessert! You’ll stop at a botanical garden enroute to admire some of the exotic plant life that calls this place home.

• Lunch (included): You’ll go beyond just admiring the local foliage. Taste some cacti, flowers, fruit and the odd insect too – accompanied by a healthy dose of animal protein.

• Once you arrive at Oaxaca you’re free to explore on your own.

• Dinner: Your stomach may appreciate a break at this stage, but if it’s calling out for some food, head on out to a local restaurant of your choice to answer that call.

• Today’s a crafty one. You’ll first visit San Bartolo Coyotepec, a small town nearby specializing in handcrafting Barro negro pottery (black pottery) the Mexican way, meet and learn from local artisans.

• Lunch (included): A very special treat awaits – a Michelin-recognized restaurant hidden away in the countryside where seasonal Oaxacan cuisine prepared straight from the land around it will be served at your table.

• Then it's time to work with your hands – a wood carving workshop where you'll shape and paint alebrijes, those fantastical creatures brought to life in colors so vivid they seem to pulse.

• You’re up early for Etla’s market, meeting a local shop owner who shares the deceptively simple craft behind great cheese and real tortillas (serious yums!). Then it’s your turn. Hands on.

• Breakfast (included): After preparing your own freshly ground corn tortillas and local cheese – it’s time to dig in. Fresh coffee and fruit on the side, of course.

• Now let’s top it up with a sweet twist… time for a lesson in chocolate making as you return to Oaxaca – with some tasters too, of course !

• Lunch: You’ll likely be quite full, but if you’re dying to try more of the local food (we don’t blame you!) feel free to head out and find something delicious on your own.

• With so much to see, do, and taste in this city, we thought you’d like the rest of the day to explore more on your own.

• Now for a healthy culture shock… you're going to meet a real-life wrestler and watch a lucha libre show, where you'll grip the edge of your seat while the crowd erupts around you. Don't be surprised by the colorful Spanish phrases flying through the air – from creative insults about someone's mother to chants that would make your abuela blush – it's all part of the passionate, vibrant spirit that makes lucha libre truly Mexican.

• Now you’ll jump back in time and visit the archaeological site of Teotihuacan where your guide will help unravel the mysteries of this ancient place built centuries before the Aztecs even arrived.

• Lunch: Find a bite to eat wherever you like in Mexico City but save some space for the special farewell dinner.

• Squeeze in some last minute sight-seeing.

• As a build up to dinner, there’s a cooking class designed especially for you, led by a master educator from one of the region’s most prestigious culinary institutions.

• Dinner (included): Ssh…! We’re being granted special ‘after-hours’ access for a true Mexican fiesta. Local seasonal dishes and drinks, music and dances, along with a taste of our signature Salt Caravan cocktail…¡ándele!
